The scales have company
Four new special events turn the same board spot into very different offers.
- Special events
- Relics
I wanted the event spot to do more than offer different percentages on the same gamble. It now has a pool of five possibilities, each with its own model and arrival effects.
Bounty Bell adds a tougher enemy carrying valuable treasure. Sleeping Forge promises an upgrade if you win, but the chosen feature stops contributing combat effects for the rest of that encounter. Its physical pinball behavior still works.
Ferryman offers a one-use drain rescue in exchange for stronger enemy attacks across the current and next encounter. Debt Merchant gives you a relic now and takes a cut of upcoming battle payouts. Those are very different kinds of greed!
The stronger offers have later requirements and tighter appearance limits than Gamble. Only one event can appear during a ball. Rounded models, glowing arrivals, capture bursts, and distinct sounds help make an appearance feel like a little occasion without promising the same powerful deal every turn.
