The nicest board wasn't the most fun
Boards 4 and 5 looked promising, but Board 1 kept teaching me what I actually enjoyed playing.

- Playtesting
Boards 4 and 5 were a pretty big step visually. More deliberate shapes, proper returns, and a ramp with a moving route selector. I was really happy looking at them. Playing them brought up a different problem.
There was too much time between interesting hits. A missed shot could leave the ball wandering back down the table while I waited for another chance. Board 1 gets back into its scoring area much more readily, which makes even a fairly ordinary ball feel productive.
That became the reference for the next boards. I started paying more attention to the launch, the escape from the upper area, and what happens after a miss. A beautiful ramp still needs somewhere useful to send the ball. Apparently I needed to learn that one more than once.
